SUBMISSIONS!

For those of you who are looking to either exhibit or perform in Miaow! Miaow!, here's how we're working this section!
---------------------------------------------------
PERFORMERS!
(Music, Dance, Spoken Word, Poetry Slammers)
Please email us right away with your project idea!
miaow.miaow.london@gmail.comAs this section of the Fest will be held at The Blackshire Pub, we will have all the necessary technical aspects covered, should you require anything out of the ordinary, please let us know us via email!

MUSIC!
Via email, we can discuss how many will be involved in your act, what you require and how many songs you will perform.
As we wish to have a relatively quick switch over throughout the night, we request that you ponder the possibility of your set being as simplistic as possible. This is not a must, just merely a welcomed option!

SPOKEN WORD AND POETRY SLAMMERS!
Via email, we can discuss what it is that you require, how many people involved and approximately how long your set will be. We are hoping to break up the evening with multiple sets of spoken word and poetry so the possibility of multiple small projects or ideas is there.

DJING!
If you are interested in jumping in and helping dj, please email us and we'll discuss the "deets."

VARIOUS OTHER PERFORMANCES!
Please email us and we will discuss your ideas, needs and anything else pertaining to your performance!
---------------------------------------------------
Once we have finalized the list of performers (figured out approximate set lengths, time slot needs, etc) the organising committee of Miaow! Miaow! will be sitting down to develop a schedule of the evening. We will first contact all performers with schedule to ensure that everything will work out with all participants and once that is firmed up, we will begin to flood the Inter-nerd with postings of sets!
We will release this as soon as possible but may find it later than you would wish as we are trying to include as many womyn as possible! The sooner you contact us the easier this process will be for not only you but also our flustery heads!
---------------------------------------------------
GENERAL POINTS
  • If you feel that the content of you performance may be sensitive to some in attendance, please let us know well in advance so we can accommodate those who may feel the need to leave due to personal needs. We wish this to be as comfortable of a space as possible while encouraging the political and the personal! If you have any thought that your performance may be included in this, please discuss it with us and we'll decided together on the appropriate action!
  • No inquiry is too small to email us about. Even if you are playing with the idea of performing/exhibting or feel unsure, please email us and we will help you in any manner you require! We wish to stress that our goal is to "encourage" and "promote" those womyn that are not often given the chance to shine!
  • Even if you find that your idea does not fall under the above categories, that in no manner means it is not welcome! We love, love, love experimental creativity! This is a chance to play and push the boundaries! Please do it!
---------------------------------------------------
VISUAL ARTS
We are asking that you contact us at miaow.miaow.london@gmail.com detailing
WHAT YOU YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO!
We wish to help you see your ideas come into fruition!
We would like to do all that we can to help you present your work the way that you see it to the best of our resources and abilities in a manner that allows others to do the same! We will work with you to figure out the best way possible to achieve this. Please be prepared to either detail to us your idea or better yet, send us some JPEGS of the work you are to exhibit! "Visual Arts" will also include books, ceramics, handmade items etc. that will be placed on tables for viewing!

ZINES
We ask that if you are able to, that you provide us with a few copies so that there will be a few to pass around, one for us to possibly keep. We have it in mind to sell zines to donate the funds to our charities but if you wish this not to be so, please inform of us this well ahead of time!
Once again, please email us to discuss the details of this so we can ensure that they are presented in the manner that you wish!
